Eric's journey into hairstyling began with the vibrant fashion and pop culture of the '90s. While he formally studied theater at the Nashville School of the Arts, his passion for hair was always a driving force. His career officially launched with a year-long apprenticeship, an experience that solidified his technical foundation and set him on a path of continuous growth. This dedication to his craft has been a hallmark of his career for over two decades.

After co-owning a salon, Eric was inspired to open a space that was entirely his own. A program at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center gave him the business acumen and confidence to pursue his dream. This leap of faith paid off, and Eric Marshall Salon has since become a destination for clients who value exceptional service and a personal connection. A testament to this is his first-ever client, who remains a loyal patron to this day—a bond that speaks to the trust and lasting relationships Eric builds with every person who sits in his chair.

The Art of Education​

Eric's commitment to education is unwavering. He's traveled the world to refine his skills, studying advanced hair cutting in London and throughout the US. He even won a national competition with Denman to compete in London for the coveted Stage Star award. Most notably, he became an International Color Genius in Italy through Davines, a challenging yet rewarding program that represents the pinnacle of his color expertise.

 

As a Davines Educator, Eric shares this wealth of knowledge, a role that also deepens his connection to the brand's mission. He was drawn to Davines for its unique ability to provide both high-performance hair care and color in one cohesive line. He's witnessed firsthand the brand's commitment to sustainability and understands how Davines integrates science and nature to create products that are both effective and responsible.
